Peter Jakacki, MD
A native of Detroit, Dr. Jakacki became a member of Lutheran Health Physicians in August 2010 when his former group, Brooklyn Medical Associates joined LHP. A family medicine physician, Dr. Jakacki joined BMA in 2001. Prior to that, he worked as an emergency room physician at Lutheran Hospital, and as a full-time chiropractor in private practice. Dr. Jakacki attended Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1979 and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from 1980 to 1982. He received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree in 1986 and a doctor of chiropractic degree from The National College of Chiropractic, now known as National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard, Illinois, in 1988. He earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1998, and he completed a family medicine residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 2001. He graduated at the top of his class in both chiropractic college and medical school. Dr. Jakacki is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is also board certified in functional medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the Christian Medical Dental Society, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
