Jeffrey Levenda, MD, joined Lutheran Health Physicians in October 2014. Dr. Levenda, who was born in Hammond, Indiana, and grew up in Portage, graduated from Indiana University Northwest in Gary in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in biology. He earned a master's degree in biology (PU) in 2001 and a second master's degree in cellular and integrative physiology (IU) in 2005 at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine/Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis with a dual medical degree and master's degree in business administration in 2010. He completed the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program's family medicine residency in 2013 and a sports medicine fellowship at Western Michigan University School of Medicine in Kalamazoo in June 2014. Dr. Levenda, who is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine and treats a vast array of musculoskeletal conditions in adults and children, also has a special interest in athlete burnout, diet and exercise, injection therapy, joint pathology and ultrasound diagnostics.
