David Mohan, MD
A Chicago native, David Mohan, MD, joined Lutheran Health Physicians as a family medicine physician in May 2014. Dr. Mohan, who is board certified in family and internal medicine, worked at Detroit Medical Center as an attending physician for three years, seeing patients in outpatient, inpatient and hospice settings, before joining LHP. He is a 1993 graduate of The Canterbury School in Fort Wayne. Dr. Mohan received a bachelor's degree in premedicine from Indiana University's Fort Wayne campus in 1995 and a master's degree in applied physiology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago in 1997. He earned a medical degree in 2001 at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, where he also completed residencies in family medicine (2004) and internal medicine (2007) and fellowships in sleep medicine (2008) and geriatrics (2010). Dr. Mohan completed research in family and sleep medicine, geriatrics and clinical physiology during his training. He has a special interest in the treatment of fibromyalgia, coagulopathy and autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases. He offers joint and tendon sheath injections and diagnostic and curative office surgical procedures for skin and soft tissue disorders. Dr. Mohan is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Mohan is active in church and the community. He is a musician and was a producer/director and cinematographer of chamber music and dance during his tenure as president of the French Alliance of Detroit. He was knighted by the French Government for service to culture in 2012 (Chevalier, Ordre des Palmes Academiques).
